CPR Classes


Our standard CPR course, “Fundamentals of BLS for Healthcare Providers” is a four-hour class offered to the public on the third Saturday of every other month. It includes basic instruction in one and two-person CPR with adults, children and infants; and, awareness of automated external defibrillators. Courses are taught by Louisville Firefighters/ EMTs in assocciation with the American Heart Association guidelines.

 

Classes are held at Station 1, 1240 Main St., Louisville, and begin at 8:00 a.m. The cost is $35 per person. A textbook is available for an additional $13; however, it is not required to take the course. Upon successful completion, participants receive an American Heart Association CPR and AED Awareness card that is valid for two years.

“Heartsaver Facts” combines the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver AED and National Safety Council First Aid courses; and in combination with ”Fundamentals of BLS for Healthcare Providers”, teaches CPR, AED and First Aid skills.
