CPR ClassesOur standard CPR course, “Fundamentals of BLS for Healthcare Providers” is a four-hour class offered to the public on the third Saturday of every other month. It includes basic instruction in one and two-person CPR with adults, children and infants; and, awareness of automated external defibrillators. Courses are taught by Louisville Firefighters/ EMTs in assocciation with the American Heart Association guidelines.
Classes are held at Station 1, 1240 Main St., Louisville, and begin at 8:00 a.m. The cost is $35 per person. A textbook is available for an additional $13; however, it is not required to take the course. Upon successful completion, participants receive an American Heart Association CPR and AED Awareness card that is valid for two years. Note: We do not accept credit cards.

Other courses, available on request, are:
“Heartsaver Facts” combines the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver AED and National Safety Council First Aid courses; and in combination with ”Fundamentals of BLS for Healthcare Providers”, teaches CPR, AED and First Aid skills.
