This report presents the results of Louisville Fire Protection District's efforts in developing a Comprehensive Plan in conjunction with the City of Louisville's Comprehensive Plan and an assessment of the surrounding district needs. The District has a past record of using Task Forces and Committees to increase participation in the District's decision-making processes. The Louisville Comprehensive plan of fire and emergency services was commissioned by Chief Tim Parker with approval of the District Board of Directors. We believe that the analysis and action plan provides a basis for future policy making as well as a method of ensuring quality and predictable fire and emergency services.
