Removal of Stop Work Order

This fee shall be assessed to remove a “Stop Work Order” issued by the fire department.

1st Offense: $140
Double the previous fine thereafter

After Hours Inspection

This fee shall be assessed whenever, at the request of a contractor or building owner, the fire department performs an inspection before or after normal business hours of 08:00 and 16:00, Monday – Friday, or anytime on weekends.


Inspection Fee $175:
Re-inspection Fee

This fee shall be assessed for each re-inspection when: an inspection is called and is not complete when the inspector arrives; corrections called out on a previous inspection are not made; the contractor does not have the permit card; or, the plans are not available for inspector.

Temporary Access Road Agreement

This fee is required to obtain a construction permit to install a temporary access road in compliance with fire department standards for a specific time period.

Spray Booths, Spray Rooms or Mixing Rooms

This fee is required to obtain a construction permit to install booths or equipment, or construct rooms used for mixing, spraying dipping or drying of flammable or combustible liquids.

Refrigeration Equipment

This fee is required to obtain a construction permit to install a refrigeration system regulated by the fire code.

Battery System Ups

This fee is required to obtain a construction permit for stationary lead-acid battery system having a liquid capacity of more than 100 gallons.

Hazardous Material

This fee is required to obtain a construction permit to install, repair damage to, abandon, remove, place temporarily out of service, close, or substantially modify a storage facility, or other area regulated by the fire code when the hazardous materials use or storage exceeds the amounts listed. (See exceptions in the code).

This fee is required to obtain a construction permit to install vehicle access gates across fire department access roads.

This fee is required to obtain a construction permit to install tanks that are required by the fire code to hold the fire fighting water supply.
